BC Interior Jazz Festival - Artists' Showcase Concert

BC Interior Jazz Festival presents
Jazz Artists' Showcase Concert

The BC Interior Jazz Festival proudly presents one of Canada’s most highly esteemed jazz musicians, three-time Juno Award winner, Brad Turner. Turner, a trumpeter, pianist, drummer and composer, is the Featured Artist at this year’s Jazz Artists’ Showcase. The dynamic jazz concert will also highlight small group performances from each of the festival's adjudicators: Emily Denison, Dennis Esson, Michael Perkins, Dave Robbins, Bob Rogers, and Mike Rud, performing a set with the BC Interior Jazz Festival Big Band, directed by Craig Thomson. 7:00 pm on Friday, April 19th, 2024 at the Kelowna Community Theatre.

The BC Interior Jazz Festival began 45 years ago, under the direction of the late Johnny Deschner, Robin Jarman, and Dr. Doug Graham. The half day festival quickly grew to a day and a half, then two full days. The Festival became a three-day event when vocal jazz was added in 1999. The BC Interior Jazz Festival is organized and operated by volunteers and has extraordinary community support. We have been privileged by the support of the following sponsors: School District #23, Wentworth Music, Yamaha Canada, Gorman Brothers, The Rotary Centre for the Arts, and the Kelowna Community Theatre.
