Celebrating 60 years!

On September 13, 1962, the town of Kelowna with its 15,000 residents celebrated the opening of a brand new community theatre. Since its creation, the Kelowna Community Theatre has truly been "the community's theatre" as citizens played a major role in its funding and creation.

Over the years, the Theatre has been filled with some of the biggest acts in the music industry like the Legendary Randy Bachman and Canadian Pop Singer Carly Rae Jepsen.

Some of our City's finest performers including Ballet Kelowna, the Okanagan Symphony Orchestra, Opera Kelowna, Wentworth Music, the Canadian School of Ballet, Robert Fine and many more, call the Kelowna Community Theatre "home".

Today, Kelowna is a thriving, vibrant city with more than 100,000 residents and a theatre that has been providing entertainment for 60 years.
