Rental information

The Kelowna Community Theatre has two spaces available for public rental and is well equipped to serve any conference, class, performance, meeting or reception needs. The main auditorium includes an 853 seat theatre, including a 236 person capacity lobby with complete backstage amenities. The second space is a 1,200 square foot Black Box Theatre, which is 125 person capacity hall. With state-of-the-art technical systems and our professional staff, your event will be well-managed from start to finish.

The Kelowna Community Theatre has eight dedicated parking spots that come with the building when booked, located by the loading bay and stage door. Parking passes will be issued either when the contract is sent, or upon arrival at the theatre. We also have space for one or two semi-trailers or buses outside of the loading bay doors, but this may interfere with the eight spots. Parking requirements can be discussed at any time. 

Front of House Information

Included in all rental rates is the volunteer Front of House staff which is managed by a professional Front of House Manager. These volunteers are trained to be aware of the safety of the audience and in delivering excellent customer service. They will make every attempt to make each event successful and pleasant for the audience.

We provide the following volunteer Front of House Staff positions:

  • Ushers
  • Ticket takers
  • Bartenders
  • Concession
  • Merchandise sales

Merchandise sales are subject to a 15 per cent charge of gross sales less taxes. Coffee service for seminars and bar service for receptions are included with the facility rental.  Security guards will be arranged at an additional charge, as determined by theatre management.
