Rental information
The Kelowna Community Theatre has two spaces available for public rental and is well equipped to serve any conference, class, performance, meeting or reception. The Main Stage has 853 soft seats including 6 wheelchair and 6 companion seats located in Row Z, and a 236 person capacity lobby. The second space is a 1,200 square foot Black Box Theatre, with a capacity of 125. With state-of-the-art technical systems in both theatres, along with our professional staff, your event will be well-managed from start to finish.

The Kelowna Community Theatre has ten dedicated parking spots that come with a Main Stage booking. The spots are located by the loading bay and stage door off Smith Avenue at the back of the theatre. Parking passes will be issued upon arrival at the theatre. We also have space for one or two semi-trailers/buses outside of the loading bay doors, but this may interfere with the ten available spots.
Included in all Main Stage theatre rentals:
- Front of House: Jim Thitchener
- Volunteer Front of House team: Our volunteers are trained to be aware of the safety of the audience and in delivering excellent customer service. They will make every attempt to ensure each event is successful and pleasant for the viewers
- Towel service upon request
We provide the following volunteer Front of House Staff positions:
- Bartenders
- Concession workers
- Ticket takers
- Ushers
- Merchandisers
Merchandise sales are subject to a 15 per cent charge of gross sales less taxes. Coffee service for seminars and bar service for receptions are included with the facility rental.
For the safety of ticket holders, clients and theatre staff, security will be required for live popular music concerts and comedy shows or as deemed necessary by theatre management. Costs for security will be at the rental client's expense.
