Ballet Kelowna 2024/25 Season
A MESSAGE FROM OUR ARTISTIC DIRECTOR & CEO
Welcome to a Bold New Season of Dance
Our 2024/25 season features a stunning collection of commissions and newly acquired works that promise to capture the hearts and minds of our audiences through their ingenuity and vitality. We welcome back some familiar creators while also inviting visionary newcomers to collaborate with our talented company of artists.
Cameron Fraser-Monroe and Alysa Pires have created some of the most revered and acclaimed pieces in our repertoire and I am overjoyed to announce they will both return to develop new works. It is with great anticipation that we will unveil Guillaume Côté's debut creation for the company while also revisiting his beloved Bolero.
We are excited to continue expanding our repertoire by introducing works by Vancouver-based Lesley Telford as well as the award-winning American choreographer Trey McIntyre.
This season will be bittersweet as we mark the retirement of senior company artist Desiree Bortolussi with a farewell program curated in her honour. Having originated over forty roles, and starred in so many of our signature works, Desiree has made an indelible contribution to Ballet Kelowna and dance in Canada.
I hope you will join us for three brilliant mixed programs at the Kelowna Community Theatre.
