Kelowna Community Theatre is set to unveil two new exhibitions as part of the Art @ KCT program presented by KPMG. Featuring the work of artists Theresa Edwards and AKB, this newest edition of the Art @ KCT program highlights the work of two Okanagan artists working in diverse mediums.

Please join us for a public reception on February 7th from 5-7 pm. The artists will be in attendance. Refreshments will be served.

Among the Trees and Our Cabin in the Woods are on view from February 1 - April 26, 2024 in the lobby of the Kelowna Community Theatre.

In the Rise exhibition space, Theresa Edwards presents Among the Trees, a series of acrylic paintings that aim to mirror moments of nature and encourage calm reflection. Through their artistic practice Edwards attempts to recreate moments experienced among the natural landscape and remind viewers of the important relationship between nature and our well-being.

In the Cube exhibition space, AKB presents Our Cabin in the Woods, a multimedia work consisting of photography, poetry and natural materials that explores what it means to return to your roots. The Cree and German artist considers their ancestry while looking to their family cabin to search for ways to define one’s “home”. Our cabin in the woods leans into the homage of family traditions in contrast to an individual's responsibility of writing their own history.
