Mother Mother with Said the Whale

Mother Mother has just announced the addition of JUNO Award-winners, Said the Whale to the line-up of their Dance and Cry Tour. The Vancouver trio will join Mother Mother on all the Canadian dates of the upcoming 2019 tour.

The Dance and Cry Tour is the band’s most extensive to date, kicking off in the US on January 12 and hitting 40 cities across the continent.

The band’s new album features 12-tracks, all of which were written by lead singer Ryan Guldemond and produced by Guldemond and Ben Kaplan. The songs on Dance and Cry relate back to an organic, stripped down sound that reflects the bands earlier material and share themes of survival, sadness and happiness. “Get Up” the lead single off the album has been met with much fanfare, notably rocketing into the top 5 and nabbing the title of #1 most added song at Canada Alternative Rock radio in its first week of release.

The Juno and MMVA nominated band, comprised of Ryan Guldemond, Molly Guldemond, Jasmin Parkin, Ali Siadat and Mike Young, has had a whirlwind decade. The band has found success on the road, most recent tours include sold-out headline dates across North America, selling out the historic Massey Hall, and a record breaking five consecutive sold-out shows at the Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver.
