KCCA: Ô-Celli

If one cello sounds beautiful, eight cellos sound divine, with a complex, mellow resonance. Ô-Celli, the Belgium-based cello octet, was established in 2010 out of the shared passion of eight cellists who play in prominent European chamber groups and orchestras. Together, the musicians create a unique and exceptional sound as they romp through repertoire along the entire musical spectrum from Tchaikovsky and Strauss to Piazzolla and Nino Rota. They play creatively arranged dance and cinema music, as varied as Stravinsky's Firebird Suite and Also Sprach Zarathustra, as well as "bespoke" pieces composed especially for the ensemble.
